The Burrito...

Yummy! Believe it or not, this pose actually is called "The Burrito." It is one of the most classic and easiest baby poses around. It works great for babies that can lift their head and shoulders up when laying on their stomach, and keeps working until they can crawl and get away. It's a wonderful pose for babies around 4 months to 9 months. TIP: The images look amazing when done professionally with a matching background, but it can work great at home too. Keep your background clear of distractions. Chose an area where you have a solid or appealing background. This would be adorable outside in the summer. Strip your baby down to the diaper. Get two towels. They can be whatever color you like. White usually works the best. Place one towel under your baby, with him or her laying on their stomach. Take the other towel and drape it over their head like a hood. You will probably only get one or two good shots before they start to pull the towel off, but then you just might get some amazing images of them playing with or cuddling the towel. Also, try sitting them up (for babies who can sit up on their own) in this same pose. Let me know how they turn out! I would love to see what you come up with!

Stacy,

I love the blog and your tips. Thanks. I have to say, for as smiley as Clark is, he wasn't the best subject to work with and definitely did not master the "burrito". I am loving the pink shoes also. I do have great taste.
