I had the best time photographing this amazing couple! They were so good to go along with all of my crazy requests. The day was just beautiful and offered us the most perfect lighting. The fall colors were so gorgeous.

I had the pleasure of photographing 2 week old "L," and I really do have to say that it was a pleasure. He was SO incredibly sweet and calm. I don't think he cried once. I always get excited to do a newborn session because it means I get to hold those sweet, tiny things! Thanks mom for letting me meet the little guy!

Picture Life Cancer Project

Introducing...

After my husband's father was diagnosed with cancer in 2003, we were lucky enough to have a thoughtful friend come to take pictures of my father and mother in law together. None of our family really knew what a wonderful blessing those pictres would be until my father in law passed away a few months later. The images sincerely captured their love for one another, as well as the happiness and peace my father in law felt.

Picture Life is a photography project dedicated to enhancing the lives, spirits, and memories of families dealing with cancer. Picture Life clients are given a complementary one hour photo session to showcase the joy, love, and strength found in family. They also receive a CD of all the images from the session. Clients will be asked to share their experiences and their advice for other families battling the same fight. This advice, along with images from these sessions, will be used to uplift and inspire families all over the country.

Please pass this information along to anyone who may be interested. Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions!

I had the opportunity on Monday to spend the day shooting two amazingly talented aerialists. I cannot believe some of the things these two were able to do 30 feet up in the air! Aside from a slight scare when one of the cables broke (right before we were about to start the shoot!) everything went beautifully. It was a treat to watch their performances, let alone photograph them.

Meet the gorgeous "D" family: "B", "B", and "B!" Other than being a little tongue tied, I had such a good time with them. These kids are so playful and cute. Mom mentioned to me that they LOVED to dress up, so at the end of the shoot we broke out the costumes...and candy! I was getting really excited for Halloween!

"M" and "K" Hitched!

"K" and "M" had the most gorgeous wedding on Saturday. The ceremony and reception was at the J4 Ranch in La Conner. It is an absolutely beautiful working berry farm owned by a friend of the family. M and K are such a genuinely nice and warm couple, and it was a delight to capture the special moments of their big day.

Three Amigos

I had a shoot with these three handsome brothers earlier today. It was so fun to watch them play and interact with each other. My two boys are just starting to do that, and I loved this little sneak peek of what mine will probably be like in a year or so. Of course, the main topic of conversation was cars and spiders, BUT we were able to focus long enough to get some adorable shots. Thanks for the fun time exploring guys! I hope the ice cream was worth all the hard work!

Another post dedicated to my trip with the fam up to Seattle last week. The boys had such a great time. We had some lunch, people watched, got some ice cream, the usual stuff. Tavin absolutely LOVED listening to all of the musical street performers...there was even some dancing involved on his part!

Beautiful "B"

My cousin "B" is in town from California for two weeks, so you know we had to squeeze in a little photo shoot! We made a trip up to Seattle today for a couple of hours with the fam. It was SO crowded, but we managed to find a few quiet spots to get these shots. Isn't she the cutest little teen you have ever seen?! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the last one...

This adorable little 10 month old girl is the lovely, "L". We did this little shoot at my home and in my backyard. She was so interested in everything around her it was hard to get her attention, but I think these natural expressions turned out amazing. She has these gorgeous blue eyes and full pouty lips. I met the newly engaged "M" and "D" last night in downtown Tacoma for their fabulous engagement shoot. They absolutely knew how to work it! I am looking for babies, toddlers, and kids to be the “fresh-faced” models of my Fall 2008 and Christmas 2008 Ads! Models will receive a complementary photo shoot and one free 8 x 10 portrait, valued at $139. Please submit a photo of your child/children and a funny or entertaining story about them. The deadline for entry is Thursday July 31st at 8:00pm. Winners will be selected by a third party judge and will be notified July 31st. Winners must be available for a photo shoot August 1st - 9th. Winners will be asked to provide a costume and/or winter clothing to be worn in the photo shoot. Parents are required to sign a model release for the images to be used in advertising for Stacy Jacobsen Photography. Please refer this contest to friends and family. I had the pleasure of doing a belated bridal shoot with "E". She was married a few weeks ago in Maui and got some fun candid shots, but she didn't really get the bridal pictures that she wanted. I was more than happy to help! We spent the evening around the University of Washington campus, where she recently graduated from. There were some AMAZING places to shoot, and she was a fabulous model! It totally looks like the shoot could have been in Rome or some other European City...Love it!

Little "G"

Look up "cute" in the dictionary, and right there will be these pics of little "G". He has the most adorable, pinch-able cheeks and such a bubbling personality for a 3 month old. He was a breeze to shoot.

The dumpster behind McDonald's...

The dumpster behind McDonald's is where a good portion of this post wedding, "trash the dress" shoot took place! "A" hadn't had a chance to eat dinner before we set out on our adventure, so we decided to hit the drive thru at McDonald's. That is when my photographer's eye noticed that the dumpster matched the necklace she was wearing perfectly. It was love at first sight! It was perfect how dirty and grungy the setting was compared to how gorgeous she is. Since it was dinner time, there was a full drive thru with our shoot in full view. We were getting weird looks and questions right and left, but "A" kept her composure (for the most part!) and we got these amazing shots!

I apologize in advance because this is going to be a LONG post. We had such a great time, and there were WAY too many exquisite images to choose from. Many of the images had absolutely no post processing editing done! They were perfect straight off of the Canon. Posted are my top "17" favorites!

If anyone is thinking of doing a "trash the dress" session I STRONGLY urge you to just go for it!!! The images you will get out of it are soooooooo worth it, and in most cases the dress doesn't really get THAT dirty. It is worth it to just dive in, and then pay to have your dress professionally cleaned.

Last week I was finishing up some editing for a recent wedding. I came across this candid reception image, and it literally made me tear up. The love and affection felt here is so real. If I had to sum up what "true love" really means with one picture, this would be it. I'm so glad that I was able to catch this unexpected tender moment.

Double Trouble in the Lettuce Patch

I spent a fun morning in the lettuce patch with these two adorable twins. "K" and "M" just turned two and definitely know how to have a good time. There was a lot of exploring and dirt throwing going on, but we managed to get a little work done in the process. We did, however, have mandatory breaks every time a train went by...of course then the train turned into the main topic of conversation. Thanks for being such good models guys! Wedding Season Kick Off!

It is officially wedding season! I couldn't think of a better way to start it off than with "T" and "L". They were so laid back and fun to shoot. Here is a little sneak peak for the happy couple...(click on the images to enlarge)

L was given away by her daughter and T's daughter

Explination needed! One of L's co-workers dressed up in a bear costume and was the "Ring Bear!" It was too funny...I told you they were a fun couple! I had to include this shot of his tail!

This is probably my favorite image out of the bunch. They just look so naturally sincere and happy.

L had six flower girls/bridesmaids. They were ADORABLE, and here are their ADORABLE feet!

I had the pleasure of photographing the M family with their brand new addition! Baby K is three weeks old, and one of the sweetest little guys I have ever seen. He joins big brother J. Here are some of my favorite images from the shoot.

J was a hilarious at posing. He was so serious and was very distinct in his ideas. He knew exactly how he wanted it to look.

This is an engagement session I did last week for B and C. I am so happy to be able to capture this very exciting time in their lives. C was a little bit apprehensive at first, but most men don't like having their picture taken. Once we warmed up, they looked absolutely beautiful together. I will be photographing their wedding as well, so more on them in the upcoming months! Good Luck with all the final plans!

More Trash the Dress pictures of Casi! These shoots are so fun! Well, for me anyway! Casi was dirty, had bugs crawling on her, sticks in her dress, sand and grass in her hair, and not to mention the freezing water! She was such a good sport. Thanks, Casi, for putting up with my crazy ideas! It was worth it though, right???
